Do I need to sign up to use this?
Today's reading, the day pages and the lunar calendar are open to everyone without an account. Everything personal — your natal chart, Luna reading the sky against it, chakra focus days, the morning email — is part of membership, which starts with a 7-day free trial.
Is my birth data private?
Yes. Your birth date, time, and location are stored only on your profile and used only to compute your chart and personalize guidance. Your chart is computed inside the app; the only thing sent elsewhere is the name of your birthplace, to a geocoding service that turns it into coordinates. If you turn on Luna personalization, your chart is shared with the AI provider that powers Luna so she can read it. You can delete your birth data and chart from your profile at any time.
How is this different from a horoscope app?
A horoscope column is one paragraph for a twelfth of the population. Lunarhythm computes the actual sky for your date — the Moon to the degree, the planetary day, the exact moments — and, with your chart, reads transits to your own placements by degree, the way an astrologer with an ephemeris would.
What traditions does Luna draw from?
Hellenistic and modern astrology, Hermeticism, Kabbalah and the Tree of Life, tarot, alchemy, Vedic/Jyotish concepts, the chakra system, numerology, and the broader Western and Eastern mystery traditions. She names the tradition behind a claim and says when traditions disagree.
